RAID SATFFがシークレットチューンを施して使用していた物をベースに、数年の歳月を経て完成したのが、RAID JAPAN初となるウィードレスプラグ『SCATTER FROG（スカッターフロッグ）』。
通常のウィードレスプラグのウィークポイント（弱点）であったオープンエリアや波立った水面でのアピール不足を解消するため、ボディー後部にアルミ製のペラを装着。
様々な形状・素材を試した末にたどり着いたヒヨコブランド製のオーバルペラは、ファーストリトリーブはもちろん、デッドスローでも確実に回り続け、ペラから発生されるクリックサウンドとフラッシング、そして引き波と泡（バブル）で強烈にアピールします。
ウィードレスプラグに求められる「キャスタビリティー」、「スナッグレス性能」、「フッキング性能」についても、ボディー形状やフックとのバランスを煮詰め、チューニング不要なベストセッティングで仕上げています。小型バズベイトの様なスローなタダ巻きからリアクション狙いの早巻き、そしてスプラッシュを交えながらのテーブルターンなど、使い方は釣り場の状況とアングラー次第で無限大。
そしてウィードレスプラグの命でもあるHookには、抜群の刺さりの良さと強度を誇るガマカツ社EWGダブルフックを標準装備。バイトしてきたバスを高確率でフックアップに持ち込み、ファイト中のフックアウトを減少、ランディングに持ち込みます。

Based on a model secretly tuned and used by RAID JAPAN’s staff for years, the SCATTER FROG is our first ever “weed-less” plug.
The body’s backend is equipped with an aluminum propeller to make commotion in open water and choppy conditions. The lack of strong appeal is usually a weakness of weed-less plugs, but the propeller addresses this.
After testing with various shapes and materials, the Hiyoko brand oval propeller was selected. On both fast and dead-slow retrieves, the propeller spins brilliantly, creating a cacophony of sights and sound. A combination of clicking sound and flash, and waves and bubbles create a powerful attraction.
For “castability”, “snag-less”, and “hookup ratio”, the right balance of shape and hook was meticulously tested, so it comes battle-ready out of the box. Like a buzzbait, it can be walked slowly with a straight retrieve or super-fast for more action. Adding jerks for splash and turning is also effective. Depending on field conditions and angler’s use, the possibilities are endless.
Crucial to this weed-less plug is the hook. Gamakatsu brand’s EWG double hooks have been equipped for maximum penetration and strength. This allows a high hookup ratio when bass strike, reducing the chances of lost fish, and safe landing.
Born from bank fishing, the SCATTER FROG is a new concept weed-less plug.
