The big crawler DODGE is a powerful top water plug with finesse qualities contrary to its profile that downright catches fish.

With a mid-speed retrieve, it agitates and entices fish like a standard crawler bait. But the dead slow retrieve is where the DODGE shines with its high-pitched roll.

Unlike other big crawler baits with flat-sided bodies, the DODGE has a fully circular cross-section. Combined with a low-centered weight, its posture recovers quickly, producing a smooth and powerful rolling action on dead slow retrieves.

Once the DODGE lands, position your rod at 10 o’clock and reel-in very slowly so that it feels like you’re taking in slack line. The DODGE will take on a life of its own with alluring metallic sound and swaying roll. Relative to its forward movement, the DODGE will make an extraordinarily high-pitched roll that exceeds the angler’s input (retrieve). The sense of the angler manipulating line will disappear and instead the bait will feel like its swimming on its own.

This “Zen-like state” is the DODGE’s greatest and most powerful weapon. With the feeling of being manipulated (presence of line) disappearing from the DODGE, the most battle-hardened monsters won’t hesitate to attack it.

※ When you first open its package, it is optimally set for high performance. However, for peak performance, make sure the feathers on both hooks are wet and it is recommended that PE line and snap combo is used.
