LEVEL CRANK MIDは、1.5～2Mレンジのボトムを軽快かつ果敢に攻略するためのミッドランナー。

通常のシャロークランクでは到達できず、一般的なミッドレンジクランクでは潜りすぎる上に巻き抵抗が大きく扱いにくい…。これまで攻めあぐねていたゴールデンレンジに照準を合わせて開発した特化型のミッドレンジクランクベイトが、レベルクランク・ミッド。
ボトムに突き刺さるように急潜行する一般的なミッドレンジクランクが玉砕してきた、水深1.5～2Mに沈むリップラップやこぼれ岩などのハードボトムを難なく突破するために、レベルクランク・ミッドは独特な形状をした“カタパルトリップ”によって敢えて潜行角を浅く設定。ボトムを優しくなめるよう浅い角度でコンタクトし、障害物をタイトかつ華麗にかわしながら魚を誘惑します。
また、潜行角が浅いため、リトリーブ時の抵抗が軽いのもレベルクランク・ミッドの特徴。テンポ良くスピーディにミッドレンジを斬ることができるため、効率面でもアングラーをサポートします。

駄肉を極力排除し浮力を確保するため、ボディ内壁にはレベルクランクやレベルシャッド同様に竜骨リブを採用し、内蔵ウェイトは固定式を導入。高い浮力によって、半スタックからの生還率を高めるとともにアクションレスポンスを向上。同時に、障害物ヒット時の素早い復元能力を得ることで、より積極的なボトムノックを可能にしています。
また、適切なウェイトポジションの割り出しと絶妙なリップ設置角によって、ロングリップ+固定重心とは思えない抜群のキャストフィールを実現しています。

これまで敬遠しがちだったミッドレンジの釣り。魚にとっては安息の地とも呼べるこのゴールデンレンジに沈む様々な障害物を打破する新たな一手が、レベルクランク・ミッドです。

■カタパルトリップ
LEVEL CRANK MIDだけが持つカタパルトリップは、潜行角を浅く保ち、必要以上に潜らせないための新発想。独特な形状のカタパルト部が、リップに受ける水流を的確に捉え、ボディが立とうとする力を抑え込むため潜行角を浅く保つことができます。

■竜骨リブ
LEVEL CRANKやLEVEL SHADで実績のある竜骨リブを採用。ボディ強度を確保しながらもボディ内壁厚を極限まで薄くシェイプすることで、駄肉というマイナス要因を浮力というプラス要素に変換する画期的な構造。浮力の増大によって、積載ウェイトの重量追加に伴う飛距離のUP、スタック時の生還率を高めるとともに、アクションのハイレスポンス化までをももたらすレイドジャパン独自の優れた構造です。

The LEVEL CRANK MID is a mid-range runner that traces the 1.5m~2m range with rhythm and ferocity.

Most shallow-range cranks can’t get deep enough, and most mid-range cranks dive too deep and needed to be reeled-in hard. The LEVEL CRANK MID was developed specifically to target this golden mid-range previously hard to attack.

Mid-range cranks often fail because it dives straight into bottom. The LEVEL CRANK MID has a distinct “Catapult lip” for a low angle dive that traces hard bottom like ripraps and rocks in the 1.5m~2m range effectively. It entices fish by making delicate traces at a shallow angle and slides past obstacles tight and adeptly.

The shallow angle dive is another distinction of the LEVEL CRANK MID which gives less resistance on the retrieve. It allows the angler to attack the midrange fast and efficiently.

Just like the LEVEL CRANK and LEVEL SHAD, the inner walls cut down on fat and increases float by employing inner ribs and stationary inner weight. Its high floatability allows it to recover quickly when half-stuck and improves on action response. When it hits obstacles, it quickly bounces back which makes aggressive bottom-knocking retrieves possible.

Its optimal weight position and lip placement contribute to a terrific casting feel that’s surprising for a crank with long lip and stationary weight.

Many have possibly avoided fishing in the midrange. The LEVEL CRANK MID is a new weapon to get past obstacles in this golden range where fish consider a haven.

■ Catapult lip

A new concept found only on the LEVEL CRANK MID, the catapult lip is set at a shallow angle and limits excessive diving. The unique catapult edge catches water off the front lip and stops the body from standing upright, which keeps the dive angle shallow.

■ Inner ribs

Built with the same tried-and-true inner ribs of the LEVEL CRANK and LEVEL SHAD. The revolutionary construction keeps a strong body intact but with thin walls that rids excess fat which translates to higher floatability. Increased float means a heavier weight can be placed for longer casts, faster recovery after getting stuck, and sharp action response. Truly a superb original design by Raid Japan.
