With the help of Takashi Kanamori’s knowledge in the field of land based hard-bait fishing, we have come out with a specially designed model for use with hard-baits lures (crank-baits, vibration plugs, etc).
This blank has been composed of a powerful butt section with a somewhat stiffer belly section compared to other ordinary hard-bait rods and a flexible tip required to control the hard baits.
When casting, anglers can load the weigh of the hard-bait on the blank and experience the absolute casting distance common to all the models in the Gladiator series. With the least amount of oscillation in the shaft after the swing through, anglers will not only be able to get great distance but also achieve great accuracy for short distance casting.
The sensitive and flexible tip section will directly transmit the vibration from the crank-baits to the anglers and successfully hookup the fish at the most unexpected bites prior to picking up the lure. Furthermore, the stiff belly and powerful butt section of the 6’11”ft length rod will swiftly transmit the hooking motion to the fish even for bites after long casts. We have drastically reduced the hook outs after the first jump often seen in hard-bait rods, while allowing anglers to be in total control around heavy covers and fishing from high grounds.
Ordinary medium class crank bait rods had difficulty with the fat bodied shallow crank baits. This rod however, not only has the power to utilize these lures but also the flexibility to allow anglers to cast small 7g crank baits. This Transporter was the answer RAID JAPAN came up with for hard-bait rods for land based anglers.
For all guides we have used the Fuji titanium frame SIC ring guides. The butt section has been loaded with double footed guides for power, while single footed guides have been used in the belly to the tip section to prioritize its natural bend.
