The “Skywalker” is the second model especially designed as a medium class hard bait rod for land-based anglers.
Tested and developed simultaneously with the G-611MC “Transporter”, the G-610M+C “Skywalker” has a blank one rank more powerful than the ordinary medium action rods. We therefore like to refer to as “medium plus+”.
Anglers won’t feel any sense of discomfort when changing rods from the “Transporter” series as we have designed this hard bait special, “Skywalker” with the same reel seat type, grip length, and total balance based on RAID JAPAN’s sheer persistence towards the land-based style of fishing.
Taking after its name “Skywalker”, this rod will not only cut through the air to deliver your lure farther than ever before, but also cast with high precision for your short range game. The rods least amount of oscillation in the blank has made this accuracy possible giving the angler the advantage much needed for land-based fishing.
In comparison to the medium fast tapered and more flexible “Transporter” series that is more suited for the crank baits, the “Skywalker” series can said to be a more aggressive and stiffer model suited for wire-baiting.
Anglers will be able to utilize 3/8oz. class wire-baits often used for land-based fishing to those heavier 1/2oz. wire-baits with significantly more stress on the anglers when reeling in. The power in the belly section has enabled anglers for a swift hook up even for fish that are in the distance after a long cast.
The finely tuned stiff settings from the tip to the belly section has not only allowed anglers to easily fish the weedy hang-offs but also to animate a sharp action when using jerkbaits. Although this “Skywalker” is similar to the hard-baiting medium action rod “Transporter”, the characteristics are conflicting.
