The Bush Hunter was born for big bass hunters to search deep in the heavy covers. It was developed to pierce the solid top lip of the bass with Texas rigs and rubber jigs sent deep in heavy covers.
It is not simply a stiff rod like a stick, but has been designed with appropriate flexibility in the tip for use with light weight sinkers and soft plastics. This subtle flexibility will help the fish to suck in the bait even when the fish are most inactive due to the drop in water temperature or lack of water clarity.
In the open area and light covers, the Armstrong model is most suited, but when it comes to fishing in heavy covers, bush, lay downs and weedy areas, the increased power in the Bush Hunter will help you land your fish.
The grip length, shape and reel seat are the same as the Armstrong model so anglers won’t feel any discomfort when changing rods.
The guides have been placed on the rod to maximize the blanks performance with a double footed guide (T-LNSG) as the butt guide and single footed K guides (T-KTSG) from the belly to the tip. Through long and grueling testing of the rod at RAID JAPAN, we have changed the stereotype thinking of “heavy rod = double footed guides” by carefully setting the guides on the blank.
We present the Bush Hunter for those strong fishing addicts out there forever seeking the monster in the bushes.
