This is a powerful long rod in the GLADIATOR series that anglers won’t be able to live without to fish the local ponds, rivers, reservoirs and natural lakes. Takashi Kanamori always has two sets ready for battle, 16~20lb line for heavy cover fishing and 12~14lb line for open water.
The 7.1ft length is the ultimate setting for not only long casts but also the more technical short game (pitching and skipping), vital for the big bass hunting for today’s land-based fishing scene. We have given the Armstrong model an original power class setting between the MH and H class, with a rigid and torqueful belly to butt section while having a flexible light tip section. What we sought in the rod was not simply a light weight rod but a rod with total balance. Anglers will be able to load this middle to heavy class versatile rod with 2oz class big baits, light weighing Texas rigs to those super light non-sinker soft plastics.
The shape of the rear grip end was specifically carved out by Takashi Kanamori during its developmental field tests. It is designed for anglers to be able to grip it with the least amount of power loss during full cast.
The “hook up with the wrist and bring it in with the elbow” concept can be experienced first handedly when you pierce the hard top lip of the large bass with heavy duty hook thanks to the sheer power of the belly/butt section. You will be able to land the fish without giving the monstrous bass a chance, just like those unforgiving gladiators.
The RAID JAPAN original guide settings will give the anglers great “sensitive operability”, “power for the heavy cover” and a “sense of ease for use with big baits”. (Fuji Titanium frame SIC ring guides)
