Based on the secretly tuned version used by our RAID JAPAN staff, the “SCATTER FROG” has finally been released as the first weed-less plug from RAID JAPAN.

In order to eliminate the weak points of the ordinary “weed-less plugs”, which were their lack of ability to appeal in open waters or when the conditions were choppy, we added an aluminum propeller at the rear of the body.
Through careful selection and testing of shapes and materials, we made our final decision to employ the “oval” shaped prop made by the “Hiyoko” brand. The clicking sound and flashing effect created through the rotation of the prop in not only high speed but also dead slow retrieval will form bubbles and a wake to enhance the appeal to the bass.

Castability”, “snag-less characteristics” and “great hook-up rate” are vital factors anglers seek in a weed-less plug. We have created this lure with the ultimate body shape, hook shape and balance to eliminate any need to tune the lure. Anglers can utilize various techniques including slow retrieval like a small bass-bait, fast retrieval for a reaction bite and “table turning” technique with an extra splash, depending on the field conditions and situations they are in.

The most vital aspect of a weed-less plug is surely the hook. We have employed the EWG double hooks made by Gamakatsu which are known for their sharpness and strength. Anglers will be able to hookup better, while reducing the chances of a hook-out during the fight.
